Find Your Care Home.

If you are at that very difficult time when you are unable to care for your elderly parent or they have been living at home and are no longer able to do so, I highly recommend the services of CareSift.
They listened to our needs and personally showed me a number of Senior Living options for my Mom. She was very familiar with each contact and made it easy to compare options. When I decided I needed a placement that was less expensive than my initial estimate she quickly found several good homes in our price range and helped me at each step along the way until my Mom was settled into her new surroundings.
She also went out of her way to follow up and troubleshoot for me with other agencies involved in the process so we could proceed on schedule. I couldn’t be happier with Mom’s caregiver and am so grateful to have found peace of mind knowing she is safe and well cared for.
I was dreading the process of making this change and didn’t know where to begin. It was CareSift’s knowledge, great communication skills, and professionalism that made it possible for us to find the perfect placement.
If you know it’s time for your elderly parent to transition to outside care, don’t hesitate to call CareSift. You will be well cared for and have the best possible guidance in finding Mom or Dad’s new home.
With gratitude and aloha,
Lisa L.
While on Oahu visiting my parents, my father fell and broke his hip. I had less than five days to find a foster care home for my mother. From the moment Care Sift called, they were determined to find my mother a foster care home where she would feel care for and safe. I immediately felt confident that this would happen, but in such a short time. We visited about seven homes between Tuesday and Friday.
Care Sift knew exactly what was best for my mom. They were kind to my mother and understood my anxiety during the process of putting my mother in a foster care home. They also knew what agency and registered nurse would provide the care my mother needed. Thank you for compassion and professionalism.

CareSift has been exceptionally helpful in finding a care home for my husband’s brother. Our Advocate even went with us when we visited several care homes and did the negotiation of the fees. She worked on our case every day and also on the weekends because I got messages from her practically all the time. Even after the placement was done she is always checking up on us to see how things are getting along.
She is very pleasant and easy to work with and is an asset to any company she works for.

There are no words to express my appreciation to CareSift for the significant role she played in finding a home for my Mother, Sylvia.
Firstly, when our family found ourselves in an emotional crisis regarding mom’s declining health condition, we were faced with the dilemma of where to place her. We were caught off guard with nowhere to turn. We were in a state of confusion, to say the least.
Then I met our Advocate from CareSift. She was an angel sent from heaven. From our initial phone contact to our first meeting, I felt very comfortable with her. She was able to make an initial assessment of our family situation and without hesitation, came up with a plan of action in search of a place for mom.
I am very confident to say that she showed me a range of care/nursing homes that met our criteria and fell within our financial budget. Each site displayed a variety of favorable qualities and characteristics. This process helped me to gain a clearer perspective of what the care and nursing homes have to offer. Also, she patiently explained the pertinent terms and conditions. As a result, touring and visiting several sites worked to diminish my confusion and clarified my understanding.
Finally, we found a perfect fit for mom. It met the criteria for her long-term care insurance, it fell within our financial requirements and mostly, it met my high standards as a perfect home for mom. I’m sure that the pre-established warm relationship that she had with the administrators made the difference in their acceptance of mom as a resident as well.
When mom saw her new place, she was very impressed and happy to make this place her new home. What brought a smile to her face was when she came for a visit, mom had a chance to meet the lady responsible for the discovery of her new found happiness.
When in a time of crisis for my family, I can only express much gratitude to her for her loving care. I know that what she did for us is nothing short of what she would also do for her own family. She is an answer to our prayers.

CareSift provides a service that is vital for people who are looking for a quality care home for their loved ones. After trying to find a suitable place by going through lists that were provided by different agencies, unsuccessfully, I contacted CareSift and was able to secure a more than acceptable care home for my Mother. CareSift was able to relieve me of the stress of finding a suitable care facility within a few days.

Mom is at the beginning stage of dementia…and can’t live alone…so we did our own search for elderly care facilities…and decided on a care home. She moved in beginning of July 2015…complained about everything…her memory & physical health was deteriorating fast…only lasted 5 months in the home. There was nothing wrong with the location…it’s a nice place…nice people…good care…but she wanted out. So we arranged for her niece from Japan to move to Hawaii…thought this arrangement would benefit both mom & her niece. Her niece wanted to live in Hawaii and agreed to live with and take care of mom.
Mom got paranoid…started accusing her niece of stealing food…arguing with her niece about her days off…and just being plain mean. That living arrangement lasted only 2 months…mom kicked her out. Mom insisted she could live alone…so we let her live alone…with some outside help a few times a week. But mom wanted 24/7 in home care help…which cost approximately 20,000/month…we said “no”. After 2 months of living alone…mom agreed to let us move her to a safe place. After calling some elderly care facilities…we learned that if an elderly person has diabetes…and is on insulin shots…they won’t take her. Then our luck changed…a social worker at our hospital gave me CareSift’s phone number…said it was a free service…and they could help me find a safe place for mom. I called them…they walked me through the process…asked what type of care is needed…our budget…desirable locations…etc. Our Advocate said she would do the research…and physically check these places herself first…then she could recommend places for us to visit. Very professional…extremely personable…and did everything she said she would. She made appointments for us to visit 4-5 different elderly care places. She met my husband and I at the first appointment…then we followed her to the following appointments. We moved mom in on 4-23-16…it’s almost 6 months…mom is healthy…still complaining…but she is safe. CareSift helped us tremendously…it was a very stressful 10 months before we found CareSift. We are grateful to them…can’t put a value on peace of mind. And you can’t beat the price…FREE.

Thanks so very much for helping to place my mom at a very nice care home. I
knew that the rehabilitation center wouldn’t give me enough time to very
leisurely look around for a care home to place my mom before they decided to
release her. I knew that the pressure would be on to quickly find a place for
her. Luckily, the social worker there did refer me to you to help with this
enormous responsibility.
Working with you was very easy and we jointly were able to set the parameters
for the type of care home that my mom would like. You were quickly able to
marshall your resources and set up appointments at multiple care homes. Your
patience with my questions and your persistence in setting-up numerous
appointments within a very short time was greatly appreciated. I was able to
visit multiple care homes with you and get a feel for the type of care home
placement where my mom would thrive. When we finally came to a care home that I thought fit the bill, even though you had set up even more visits that day,
I was able to pull the trigger for my mom’s placement with confidence. Thanks, I would have been at a loss without your help and advice.
