FOUNDED IN HAWAII
CareSift embodies the spirit of “ohana.” In Hawaii, where CareSift was founded in 2015, ohana means family in its extended sense, including blood related, adoptive or intentional (those you choose to care about).
We take a uniquely personalized approach to match seniors with care providers at no cost to families. Founded by healthcare professionals and social workers, we know how to skillfully navigate the system to provide different care options and an extra source of support. We work one-on-one with both caregivers and seniors to ensure a seamless process, from the first visit to the final paperwork and beyond.

Aloha! My name is Nicole Coglietta, and I grew up in beautiful Kaneohe on the Windward side, and graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Masters in social work. I am a licensed social worker here in Hawaii and co-founder of CareSift. I worked in various Oahu hospitals as an ER social worker and a discharge planner for many years.
While working in the hospitals, I saw that families could not find quality senior care in a timely manner when their loved ones were being discharged from the hospital. I knew how challenging it was, but it wasn’t until after my Hilo grandfather was medevaced to a hospital here on Oahu, and was given 24 hours discharge notice, that I truly understood the difficulties in finding an accepting, urgent, and appropriate expanded care home. It was at that moment that I decided to try to do something about it. I knew that seniors and their families needed more support and more options when looking for quality senior care.
That is why I decided to start CareSift.
Today, CareSift’s Senior Advocates help families every day with all aspects of understanding and finding available senior care.
